How to Refer a Patient

A referring physician, patient or family member may contact a transplant/leukemia coordinator, or transplant physician to discuss a potential referral, to arrange a consultation or hospital transfer.

NSH Blood and Marrow Transplant, Leukemia and Immunotherapy programs will be provided with an in depth consultation and comprehensive review of treatments options. Treatment plans are designed to meet the unique needs of each patient. We will coordinate your pre, as well your post care with your referring physician. If pre or post-transplant/immunotherapy disease management therapy is recommended, you can be assured treatment therapy will be the most current and state-of-the-art.

The blood and marrow transplant/immunotherapy nurse care coordinator or leukemia nurse care coordinator will facilitate the consultation process with you and your referring physician’s office. Acute leukemia patients can be set up for a direct admission to the inpatient unit or a hospital transfer seven days a week.
